From the Perspective of the Golden One
poem and explanation

From the perspective of the Golden One

I slice the skin
from top to bottom
using my best
utility knife
I let my blade
slide through
the body of it
I see the shine
single vein
In light
In phosphorus
wrapping
skin invite skin
on both sides
black blood
then this
yes

I want
to swallow you
whole
to sink into
that volcanic
river
black
I know
how you feel
serpent
I too
slide as
a river
into the body
of poison
we both
know potential
dosage
we are not so
different
your venom
has not
gone unnoticed

as I arrive back
to my present
place
citing my
cutting plate
your skin
sliced open
is like
shimmering tar
though
only I see
your beauty
I take your
tongue
which speaks
in signs
silence as our
sharpened-light
of course
I know what
It’s like

plastic
elastic-gut
I take the
smooth
string
I swallow
the siliva
I make
a feast of it
of damp gut
beneath lamp
In my kitchen
shines
my hearts
content -
oh shut up
oh tongue under
that fire smut
You must
know what
It‘s like

I chew
the tongue
I chew past
the skin
which marks
the border
of me into you
Oh yes new
knife Old
shoes
marks lines
past the
dried blood
past both
sides
open you
up and take
a bite
Yes

I wait
for you
to take
me in
like when
my arrow
bite arrivesmeets
your
spitthe
only
snow touch as true
as your light
I will be
like you
hello sweet
landscape
I can begin
to see
the bright
sliding through
like tongue
or mouth
sweet up and in
as in my Sweet
nectar
my sweetness
Yes
